About the Laveen Pathfinders 4-H Club

What is 4-H?

4-H is a youth development program run through land grant universities (University of Arizona) that help today’s youth become tomorrow’s leaders.

Members select project areas that develop practical skills while pursuing personal interests. 4-H teaches leadership skills by encouraging members to serve as officers, handle club funds, and learn how to conduct a business meeting. Youth also give back to their communities by being involved in club or county service projects to improve the local community.

4-H is the place for you! If you can dream it, you can do it in 4-H.

Who can be a member?

4-H is open to all youth from ages 5-19.

5-7 year old’s are only allowed to enroll in the Cloverbuds project which explores all the projects offered through the 4-H program.

8-18 year old’s are official members and can enroll in one or multiple projects where they can compete at county, state, and national levels.

They can also hold officer positions at the club level.

Who are the Laveen Pathfinders?

We are a 4-H club that has been serving the community of Laveen for over 40 years. Through the years we have offered a variety of projects such as Horse, Sheep, Pets, Arts & Crafts, Photography, Culinary & Food Preservation, Gardening, Vet Science, and more while also developing Leadership, Community Service, Public Speaking, Communication, Safety, Healthy Living, Citizenship Skills.

Youth ages 5-7 participate in 4-H as members of the Cloverbud Project. The Cloverbuds explore all the different projects 4-H has to offer while making friends and serving the community.
